Mr. Dorsey Carroll Galyean

Mr. Dorsey Carroll Galyean age 57 of 121 Blue Sky Lane, Lowgap, NC husband of Mrs. Marian "Tootsie" Galyean passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. He was born November 27, 1954 in Galax, VA to the late Carroll Bishop and Sina Lowe Galyean. Mr. Galyean was employed by M&M Textiles and was an auction worker. He was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are his wife, Marian "Tootsie" Galyean of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Delana and Shane Bullins, Lowgap, a son a Joseph Carroll "J.C." and fiancée, Rhonda Shepherd, Lowgap, a grandson, Chance Russell Bishop Galyean, Mt. Airy, four adopted grandchildren, Corey, Levi, Ashley and Ryan, and a brother and two sisters-in-law, Delmah Badge and Frances Galyean, Lowgap, and Betty Galyean, Lowgap, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Galyean was preceded in death by a brother, Cullen Galyean, Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Saturday, June 23, 2012 at Roaring Gap Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Joe Atkins and Rev. Randy Bartley. Burial will follow in the Galyean Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 6-8 Friday at Roaring Gap Baptist Church. .
