Mr. Earl Eden McMillan

Mr. Earl Eden McMillan, 72, of Cana, passed away at his home, Friday, August 26, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was born in Carroll County, VA on August 6, 1944 to the late Samuel Cassell and Laura Elizabeth Dawson McMillan. He was a farmer and an auctioneer for Garson McMillian Real Estate for many years. Mr. McMillan is survived by his loving wife, Mary J. McMillan; a daughter, Anita McMillan Barbour; a son, Earl Scott McMillan; a granddaughter, Mary Katelyn Barbour and a great grandson due to arrive in November, Remington Wayne Reed; sisters and a brother-in-law, Eulala Dawson, Opal Thomas, Mabel and Lonnie Utt; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glen McMillian, Clinton and Gaye McMillian, Clayton and Darlene McMillian and Ross McMillian. In addition to his parents, Mr. McMillan was preceded in death by a brother, Dwight McMillian and an infant brother and an infant sister. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, August 28, 2016 at Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Isreal Gwynn offiiciating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
