Mr. Elbert Crite Fulcher

Mr. Elbert Crite Fulcher, age 92 of Stuart, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on November 21, 1922 to the late Robert Lee Fulcher, Sr. and Nancy Elizabeth Dalton Fulcher. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fulcher was preceded in death by his wife, Christine Martin Fulcher; and two brothers, Robert Lee Fulcher, Jr. and Ralph Ford Fulcher. He was a 1940 graduate of Hardin Reynolds Memorial School, and had attended Providence United Methodist Church. He served in the United States Army during World War II. He retired with 38 years of service with United Elastic where he was a supervisor, and afterwards was a school bus driver for 10 years with the Patrick County School System.

Mr. Fulcher is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Neil and Ann Fulcher of Stuart; one daughter and son-in-law, Gayle and Bruce Dollarhite of Stuart; grandchildren, Kevin Dollarhite and fiancé, Julia Ramey, Christopher Dollarhite and wife, Sara, Jen Pack and husband, Randy, Julie Feaster and husband, Craig; great-grandchildren, Zachary Stone, Amy Dollarhite, Conor Dollarhite, Ella Dollarhite, Madeilyn Heflin, Emelia Pack, Isabella Pack, Sophia Pack, Camille Pack, Cody Feaster and Braden Feaster; and a special caregiver, Geneva Doss of Stuart.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 1, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Josh Lees and Elder Donnie Conner officiating. Burial will follow in Patrick Memorial Gardens with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
