Mr. Elbert Eugene Willard, Sr

Mr. Elbert Eugene Willard, Sr. age 88 of 115 Glendale Drive, Mt. Airy passed away Friday, July 6, 2012 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born June 24, 1924 in Patrick County, VA to the late Luke Demis and Susie Ada Bowman Willard. He was retired from the Mt. Airy School System as a school crossing safty officer. Surviving are three daughters, Brenda Willard, Mt. Airy, Judy Willard and Linda Harrell both of Ararat, VA and a son, Elbert Eugene Willard, Jr., Mt. Airy, 12 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, Mr. Willard was preceded in death by his first wife, Dotzene Gillenwater Willard, his second wife, Lettie Mae Hodge Willard, a daughter, Betty Sue Willard Collins, and two sons, Johnny Willard and Jack Willard. Funeral Services will be held 3:30 pm Monday, July 9, 2012 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. Barry Clement . Burial will follow in Midkiff Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends 2:00 pm Monday until time of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
