Mr. Elmo Jackson Dalton

Mr. Elmo Jackson Dalton, age 67 of Meadows of Dan, passed away Saturday, May 3, 2014 at his home. He was born in Patrick County on December 28, 1946 to the late William Charlie Dalton and Ruby Boyd Dalton. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dalton was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Joshua Leonard; and two brothers, Butch Dalton and Jimmy Dalton. He was a self-employed automobile mechanic and was of the Pentecostal Holiness faith. He was a loving husband, father, papa, uncle and friend.
Mr. Dalton is survived by his wife, Jane Elizabeth "Libby" Dalton of the home; one son, Elmo Dalton, Jr. of Stuart; six daughters and sons-in-law, Shonda and Michael Queen of Stuart, Pam Dalton of Lexington, North Carolina, Carolyn and Chris Davis of Lexington, North Carolina; Janet and Garland Wilson of Hillsville, Shannon and Brian Knowles of Floyd and Samantha and Robert Boyd of Meadows of Dan; sixteen grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy Dalton of Randleman, North Carolina, Charles and Debbie Dalton of Meadows of Dan, Richard and Brenda Dalton of Asheboro, North Carolina; five sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Gail Dalton of Meadows of Dan, Janet Martin of Stuart, Jeannie and Bonssi Vincenti of Meadows of Dan, Almeda Mullins of Patrick Springs, Barbara Jean and Junior McNeil of Asheboro, North Carolina; and several nieces and nephews.
