Mr. Floyd Eugene "Jibo" Sammons
Mr. Floyd "Jibo" Sammons, age 50 of Mount Airy, passed away, Saturday, June 27, 2015 at the Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born March 10, 1965 in Mingo County, West Virginia to the late Floyd Copley and the late Maxine Sammons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Lou Copley. He was a truck driver and of the Methodist faith.
He is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Mrs. Tina Carter Sammons, of the home; His beloved son, Hayden Eugene Sammons, also of the home; His sisters, Ethel Toler, Margie Sammons, Shelby Perdue, Ina New and Connie Sammons; Brothers, Lawrence Sammons, Clevie Joe Simpson, Danny Sammons, Joseph Sammons, Herbert New, Bob Copley and Ralph Copley.
Pallbearers will be William Morgan, Phillip Gordon, Tim Partridge, Gary Morgan, Mike Parker and Victor Flores; Additionally, Steve Morgan will serve as a honorary pallbearer.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 29, 2015 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 at Pinnacle United Methodist Church with the service to follow at 12:00, with Reverend Diane Marsden officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Moody-Davis Funeral Service, PO Box 295, Dobson, NC 27017, to help with final expenses.
