Mr. Franklin Lee "Frank" Davis

Mr. Franklin Lee Davis, age 61, of Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 3, 2014. He was born in Surry County on June 29, 1953 to the late Charlie and Ora Mae Fletcher Davis. Mr. Davis was a member of Double Creek Church of Christ and a self employed small engine repairman. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 16 years, Laura Speas Davis; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jody and Mandy Davis of Pinnacle, Travis and Crystal Hicks; and a daughter, Angela Hicks; his beloved grandchildren, Jordan Davis, McKenzie Davis, Nicholas Hicks, Elijah Hicks, Destiny Hicks, Autumn Hicks and Addison Watkins; two sisters, Peggy Littell, and Shirley Mooney, both of Dobson; a brother and two sisters-in-law, Charles and Brenda Davis of Dobson and Sherrill Davis of Boonville. In addition to his parents, a brother, Allen Davis preceded him in death. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm Sunday in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Bob Parrish with burial to follow in Double Creek Church of Christ cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 12 pm until the hour of the service.
