Mr. Gates Jamey Goins

Mr. Gates Jamey Goins, 44, of Mt. Airy passed away at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home Wednesday, April 4, 2018. He was born February 12, 1974, son of Gates Junior and Mary White Goins. Mr. Goins was employed with Blue Ridge Energies. In addition to his parents, Mr. Goins is survived by a sister, Shelli Goins; nephews, Kenyon Shore and wife, Heather, Jarrod Shore and niece, Sunie Shore; great nephews, Kolten Shore and Eli Shore; a great niece, Grace Shore; grandmother, Alpha Pruett; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends. Mr. Goins was preceded in death by a grandmother, Myrtle Sexton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Little Mountain Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that memorial contributions be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
