Mr. George "Bill" William Dillon

Mr. George William "Bill" Dillon, age 86 of Stuart, Virginia, passed away on Friday, June 5, 2015 at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on March 27, 1929 to the late Jesse James Dillon, Sr. and Ocie Ann Gilley Dillon. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two brothers, Hardin Dillon and Jesse J. Dillon, Jr.; and two sisters, Mary Joyce and Barbara Dillon. Bill faithfully served his country in the Army during the Korean War.

Mr. Dillon is survived by three children, Joyce Ann Grubb of Christiansburg, VA, William Lee Dillon of Riner, VA and Ronald Lee Dillon of Halifax, VA; three grandchildren, Chris Dillon, John Jones, and Whitney Dillon; one great granddaughter, Lucy Jones; seven siblings, Catherine Corns of Stuart, VA, Lee Plasters of Critz, VA, Frances Richardson of Patrick Springs, VA, Bessie Turner of Bassett, VA, Shirley Roark of Spencer, VA, Evelyn Rakes of Woolwine, VA and Frank Dillon of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 14, 2015 at 3:00pm at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart, Virginia with Elder Jesse Hutchins officiating. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers the family requests donation be made to the Patrick County Community Food Bank, P.O. Box 1304, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
