Mr. George Woody Hill

Mr. George Woody Hill, age 86 of Claudville passed away Wednesday at the Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born on Nov. 25, 1928 in Patrick County to the late Ed Hill and Etta Dollarhite Hill. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Hooker Hill; and several brothers and sisters. Mr. Hill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He is survived by his son, Randy Hill of Claudville; five grandchildren; two great grandchildren; and one sister, Annice Hall of Stuart. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Jan. 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Stuart with Pastor Curt Ashley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hatchers Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at the funeral home.
