Mr. Gerald Franklin Blevins, age 53 of Pilot Mountain passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center from injuries sustained in a home fire. He was born in Fort Campbell, Kentucky on May 12, 1961 to Shirley Eaton Blevins and the late Ben Blevins. Mr. Blevins owned and operated his own floor covering business and was a member of Gospel Baptist Church in Pinnacle. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 31 years, Beverly Bryant Blevins, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Joshua and Christina Blevins, of Thurmond and Jacob Blevins, of the home; three beloved grandchildren. Dalton Blevins, Madison Monk and Noah Blevins; his mother, Shirley Eaton Blevins of Pilot Mountain; four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Monalisa Tate, of Cana, Virginia, Stephanie and Eddie Wood, of Pilot Mountain, Constance Blevins of Pilot Mountain, Vanessa and Mike Gross, of Winston-Salem and Crystal Inscore of Pilot Mountain; three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Beno and Debbie Blevins, Jeffrey Blevins and Justin and Temple Blevins, all of Pilot Mountain. In addition to his father, a brother, Timothy Neal Blevins preceded him in death. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Gospel Baptist Church in Pinnacle by the Rev. Kyle Samuels, the Rev. Odell Sisk and Brother Don Collins. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 1 pm until the hour of the service. In-lieu-of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gerald Blevins Funeral Fund c/o Moody-Davis Funeral Home PO Box 295 Dobson, NC 27017 to assist the family with final expenses. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends who have extended their love, generosity and above all, for their prayers as they try to rebuild their lives.
