Mr. Glenn Scott, age 91, of Siloam passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, August 31, 2015, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Scott was born on July 4, 1924 in Stokes County to Samuel and Mattie Noah Scott. Mr. Scott was a lifelong farmer and attended Siloam Baptist Church. Mr. Scott is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Cynthia "Cindy" Scott of Siloam; one grandson, Daniel Glenn Scott and girlfriend Hayden Ayers of Siloam; one sister and brother-in-law, Angeline Vanhoy and Kenneth of Jonesville; a sister-in-law Frances Scott of Claudeville, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Scott was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Johnson Scott; four sisters, Eunice Jessup, Ethel Tilley, Mabel Bishop, and Edith Flippin; four brothers, Clarence, Frank, Leonard and Lloyd Scott. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 3, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Siloam Baptist Church by Rev. Bill Faw and Hal Heath. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy where his body will remain until time to be taken to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
