Mr. Grady Dodson Money

Mr. Grady Dodson Money, age 87, of Thurmond passed away peacefully on Friday, December 26, 2014 at Chatham Nursing Center. He was born in Surry County on October 10, 1927 to the late Finley and Alice Norman Money. Mr. Money was retired from Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after thirty eight years of dedicated service and was a charter member of Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his loving wife of sixty eight years, Hazel Brooks Money, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dwight Money of Thurmond and David and Linda Money of State Road; three beloved grandchildren, Joni Crouse, Wendy Spicer and Kristy Money; three great-grandchildren, Stephanie Thomas, Dakota Thomas and Hannah Spicer; several great-great grandchildren; two nieces and a nephew, Gladys Perry, Magdalene Scott and Edwin Nixon; a sister-in-law, Thelma and husband John Mack; brothers in law, Clifford Brooks and family and Rose and Roy Lee Brooks and family; special family friends, Nancy Snow, Debbie Money and Shane English. In addition to his parents, a son Donald W. Money and a daughter, Linda Susan Money preceded him in death. Funeral services will be held at 3pm on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church by the Rev. Tony White and Brother Paul Shores. Burial will follow in Union Hill Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Sunday one hour prior to the service.
