Mr. Greene Wade Rue Jones

Mr. Greene Wade Rue Jones 75, of Mt. Airy, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Mr. Jones was born in Cana, VA to the late Roy Rodney Rudolph Jones and Litha Ann Jones Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, Joyce Barker Jones of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Wayne Bailey, Linda and Chris Wingard, and Trish Kaiser; one son and daughter-in-law, Chris Greene Jones and Candice; nine grandchildren, Courtney, Kayla, Natalie, McKenna, Shanna, Jacob, David, Carl and Carson; three sisters, Mary Lee and Arlis Phillips, Norma and James “Jess” Jessup, and Gloria and David Smythers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by four sisters, Clarsie Jones, Georgia Jones Garcia, Irene Jones, and Sylvia Rodney Jones. Funeral services will be held at Pine Ridge Baptist Church on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Johnny Johnson, Rev. Tom Delph, and Rev. Travis Sechrist officiating. Burial will follow in the Jones/Fleming Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6-8 at Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
