Mr. Harry David Marshall, Sr

Mr. Harry David Marshall, Sr. 67, of Mt. Airy passed away Thursday, July 2, 2015, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. He was born in Patrick County, VA on August 6, 1947, to the late Frank Louis and Violet Bowman Marshall. Mr. Marshall worked over thirty years at Jones-Phillips Funeral Home in Mt. Airy and later retired from Carter Utilities and was also a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Belton Marshall, of the home; a daughter, Renee Marshall Hauser, of Mt. Airy; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maybelline and James Ayers of Stuart, Juanita and Danny Wood of Dobson; brothers and sisters-in-law, A.W. "Pete" and Becky Marshall and Kenneth Marshall all of Dobson; two brothers-in-law Roger and Linda Belton and Johnnie Ray Belton, all of Mt. Airy, several nieces and nephews and his special companion "Spunky". In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his son, Harry David Marshall, Jr. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2015, at Rock Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Lee Johnson and Rev. Dwight Sechrist officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:30 PM until the time of the service.
