Mr. Hobert Nelson Hawks

Mr. Hobert Nelson Hawks age 67 of 2818 Paul’s Creek Road, Cana, VA husband of Mrs. Judy Ann Robertson Hawks passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at his home. He was born January 9, 1948 in Carroll County, VA to the late William Shade and Lithia Ann Edwards Hawks. He was retired from United Plastics and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. Surviving are his wife, Judy R. Hawks of the home, a daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia Ann and Brad Barker of Cana, VA three sons, Nelson Scott Hawks and Michael Shade Hawks both of Cana, VA and Chad Nelson Hawks of Hillsville VA, three grandchildren, Brittany Barker, Josh Hawks and Isaiah Willard Hawks, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Elsie Easter of Cana, VA and Ann and Vernon Surratt of Lambsburg, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hawks was preceded in death by several sisters and brothers, Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by Rev. Chris Crotts, Rev. Richard Hawks and Rev. Brian Frazier. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Tuesday at Sandy Ridge Primitive Baptist Church.
