Mr. Hobert Reece “H.R.” Knott, Jr., 72, of Mt. Airy passed away on Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born in Surry County on August 28, 1944 to the late Hobert Reece Knott and Sarah Ellen Johnson Norman. He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Gail and Maynard Horton and Linda and Tommy Cain, a special nephew, Brad Calloway, and a special cousin, Judy Knott Allen. In addition to his parents, Mr. Knott was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Roger Knott. There are no formal services planned.
