Mr. Hobert Junior Livengood

Mr. Hobert Junior Livengood, 83, of Mt. Airy passed away Sunday, February 23, 2014 at his home. He was born in Surry County on February 3, 1931 to the late Carrie Livengood. He bravely served in the U.S. Marines from 1952 to 1954. Mr. Livengood was retired from Hennis Freight Lines and was a member of Faith Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Todd Livengood of Ararat, VA and several cousins. In addition to his parents Mr. Livengood was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Ann Dickerson Livengood; a daughter-in-law, Marlene Maria Livengood and a special grandfather, William Livengood. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, February 26, 2014 at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Randy Edwards officiating. Burial will follow in White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery with full military rites conducted by the VFW Honor Guard Post 2019 of Mt. Airy and Post 9436 of Pilot Mountain.
