Mr. Homer Wayne Hall

Mr. Homer Wayne Hall, age 74 of Greensboro, NC passed away Saturday, November 5, 2011 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro. Mr. Hall was born on February 5, 1937 in Surry County to the late James Elbert and Gracie Odell Gammons Hall. He was a member of New Bessemer Baptist Church and retired from Southern Optical. Mr. Hall is survived by his wife, Margaret Apple Hall of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, John and Michelle Hall of Mt. Airy, Randy Hall of Nashville, TN; stepchildren and spouses, Judith Ann and Charlie Scott of Ruffin, NC, Roy Forrest, Jr. and Martha of Whitsett, NC, Mark Forrest and Tammy of Greensboro, NC, Allen Forrest and Darlene of Liberty, NC, Scott Forrest of Brown Summit, NC; a granddaughter, Laken Hall; eleven step-grandchildren; a sister, Barbara Freeman of Elkin; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Herman and Carolyn Hall of Siloam and J.W. Hall of Dobson. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hall was preceded in death by a brother, George Wade Hall; two sisters-in-law, Edith and Joyce Hall and a brother-in-law, Calvin Freeman. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy by Dr. Don Clement. Entombment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park in Greensboro, NC. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at Moody Funeral Home.
