Mr. Jackie Gray Atkins

Mr. Jackie Gray Atkins, age 67, of East Bend, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015, at his home. Mr. Atkins was born in Surry County on August 7, 1947, to Edward and Garnett Mae Cassell Atkins. He will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. Surviving are a daughter, Hope Edwards; a son, Dale Atkins; six grandchildren; six great grandchildren; a sister, Charlene Horton and a special friend and cousin, Rev. George Jones, Jr. In addition to his parents, Mr. Atkins was preceded in death by a daughter, Crystal Bullington. A memorial service will be held Sunday March 15, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at The Community Church with services conducted by Rev. Ray Hutson.
