Mr. Jackie Dean "Jack" Haymore, age 79 of Dobson, NC passed away on Saturday morning November 22, 2014 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mr. Haymore was born in Surry Co. on July 31, 1935 to the late Roy C. Haymore and the late Lillian Hardy Haymore. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step mother Stella H. Brown. Jack was a retired truck driver and had driven for Hennis, Pilot, and Roadway; he was a Veteran of the US Army; He was a member of Salem Fork Christian Church. Surviving is his loving wife of Fifty Six Years Mrs. Bonnie Snow Haymore of the home; a daughter Kam Haymore Speas of Laurel Fork, VA; a son and daughter-in-law Bradley D. and Trudy Haymore of Huntersville; four grandchildren Keisha and Travis Stanley, Jonathon Moser, Blake Haymore, Brooke Haymore; a great grandchild Ava Moser; sister and brother-in-law Wanda H. and John White of Dobson; brothers and sisters-in-law Cleve and Judy Haymore of Dobson, Jerry and Jenny Haymore of Lewisville; several nieces and nephews.
A Memorial service will be held 3:00 PM Sunday November 23, 2014 at New Home Church of Christ, with Brother Tim Smith conducting. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home; the family will receive friends at the home and at the church after the memorial service Sunday. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the New Home Church of Christ 164 Pratt Rd. Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt. Airy, NC 27030. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Haymore family.
