Mr. Jackie Darrell Wilmoth

Mr. Jackie Darrell Wilmoth, age 74, of Dobson passed away on Sunday evening March 5, 2017 at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. He was born in Surry County on January 1, 1943 to the late Rufus Jackson Wilmoth and the late Cora Eva Hudson Wilmoth. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Elaine Whitaker; one brother Larry Wilmoth. He was a member of Cross Roads Baptist Church and was a veteran of the US Army. He was retired from Wayne Farms as an Shop Forman. Surviving is his wife Katherine Forbis Wilmoth of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Kaysa Wilmoth of Mt. Airy, Jackie Scott and Stephanie Wilmoth of Thurmond; five grandsons Joshua, Justin, Jacob, Cody, and Chase Wilmoth; one sister and brother-in-law Rosemary and James Bledsoe of Dobson. A Memorial service will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday March 8th, 2017 at Cross Roads Baptist Church with Rev. Alton Bledsoe conducting. The family will receive friends following the memorial service in the church Fellowship Hall, his cremains will be buried at a later date in the Church Cemetery.
