Mr. Jackson Sie "Frank" McCormick

Mr. Jackson Sie “Frank” McCormick, age 84, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Saturday evening November 5, 2016 at Northern Hospital of Surry Co. in Mt. Airy. He was born in Surry Co. on December 12, 1931 to the late William Pinkney McCormick and the late Mamie Coe McCormick, in addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister and six brothers. He was retired from Norfolk Southern Rail Road; a member of Rockford Baptist Church; a veteran of the US Navy. Surviving is his loving wife Wilhelmina Gibbons McCormick of the home; one daughter and son-in-law Melinda and Brent Wall of Dobson; three sons and daughters-in-law Jim and Lynn Hewitt of Dobson, Bill and Sharon Hewitt of Dobson, John and Cindy McCormick of Dobson; eleven grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren, whom he loved and cherished dearly; loving pet Princess. Funeral services will be held 7:30 PM Tuesday evening at Rockford Baptist Church with burial to follow on Wednesday morning at 11:00 AM in Skyline Memory Gardens in Mt. Airy, NC with full Masonic rites conducted by Copeland Masonic Lodge # 390 AF & AM and full military rites conducted by VFW Memorial Guard Mt. Airy Post # 2019 and Pilot Mountain Post # 9436. Rev. Dennis Bledsoe and John McCormick will conduct the services. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening at Rockford Baptist Church from 6:00 PM until the time of his service at 7:30 P.M. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the McCormick family.
