Mr. Jacob Chance Beck

Mr. Jacob Chance Beck, age 19, of Dobson, NC passed away on Wednesday evening April 2, 2014. He was born in Surry County on December 26, 1994 to Nick Beck and to Tracy Simpson Lindsey. He graduated from Surry Central High School, and was employed by Beck Trucking. Surviving are his father Nick Beck of the home; his mother and step father Tracy and Bobby Lindsey of Pearisburg VA; a step mother Tonya Kimbrell of Dobson; two half sisters Madeline Michele Beck of the home, Breigh Ann Lindsey and one half brother Tucker Benjamin Lindsey both of Pearisburg, VA; step brother Forest Kimbrell of Dobson; his grandparents Curtis and Linda Simpson of Dobson, James and Pam Beck of Dobson; great-grandparents Mary Ruth Beck of Dobson, Nancy Yontz of Winston Salem. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Sunday April 6, 2014 at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Church Cemetery. Rev. Jeff Wall, Rev. Curtis Ponder, and Rev. Mark Newman will conduct the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Saturday evening from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The family has requested in lieu of flowers an account has been set up at State Employee's Credit Union to fund a memorial scholarship in Chance's memory.
