Mr. James Verlon Dixon

Mr. James Verlon Dixon, 56, of Archdale passed away at his home Friday, January 17, 2014. He was born in Forsyth County on July 10, 1957 to the late Verlon and Mary Gardner Dixon. Mr. Dixon is survived by his wife of eighteen years, Sharon; a daughter, Stephanie Benfield ; a step son, Kenny and Jennifer Perkins; three grandchildren, Chasper Clark DeHart, Christopher Benfield, Cody Lee Benfield; two step grandchildren, Branson and Caleb Perkins; one sister, Judy Deatherage of Mt. Airy; one brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Beth Dixon of Mt. Airy; mother-in-law, Ruth Jones. In addition to his parents, Mr. Dixon was preceded in death by three brothers, Danny Ray Dixon, Mikle E. Dixon and Ronald Lee Dixon; special brother-in-law, Doug Deatherage; nephew Lyle "Grass" Sechrist; and a great nephew, Mikle Eugene Dixon, Jr.. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 20, 2014 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at Epworth United Methodist Church.
