Mr. James Roger Galyean

Mr. James Roger Galyean, 77, of Lowgap, NC husband of Mrs. Hattie Edwards Galyean passed away Monday, September 8, 2014 at his home. He was born January 18, 1937 in Carroll County, VA to the late John Sherman and Martha Craddock Galyean. Mr. Galyean was retired from the Woodruff Evergreen Company and was of the Primitive Baptist Faith. He is survived by his wife, Hattie Edwards Galyean of the home, two daughters Ronda Sue Galyean and Shannon Denise Galyean both of the home, two sisters, Treva Beasley of King, Pauline Robertson of Cana, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Galyean was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Robertson, and Nonnie Parker; five brothers, Walter, Henry, Wayne, Edgar and Jack Galyean. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 11, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder David Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Charity Baptist Church. Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy is serving the Galyean family.
