Mr. James Harding Graybeal

Mr. James Harding Graybeal, age 94 of Mt. Airy, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015 at Northern Hospital. Mr. Graybeal was born in Ashe County on March 31, 1921 to Adolfus and Rosie Osborne Graybeal. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and friends. Surviving are his devoted wife, Bessie Tate Graybeal; sons and daughters-in-law, Matt and Shelby Graybeal and Randy and Rachel Graybeal; grandchildren, Brenda Fletcher and husband David, Melissa Sizemore and husband Jason, Stephanie Ring and husband Dusty, Matthew Graybeal, Randy Graybeal and wife Maria, Justin Jones and wife Ashley and Tara Jones; thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a sister, Ester Henderson and his "Fur Babies" Abby and Gabby. In addition to his parents, Mr. Graybeal was preceded in death by a daughter, Joyce Graybeal Sizemore and two brothers and five sisters. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 12, 2015 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Robbie Sizemore. Burial will follow in Tate Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Graybeal's caregivers, Wendy Dearmin and all the staff at Advanced Homecare as well as the wonderful ER staff at Northern Hospital.
