Mr. James Cecil "J.C." Gwyn

Mr. James Cecil "J.C." Gwyn, age 47 of Sparta, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2015, at Sunbridge Nursing Center. He was born in Surry County on August 13, 1968 to Ida Mae Haynes Gwyn and the late Cecil Gwyn. J.C. was a loving husband, father, son and brother. He was a man always thinking of others. He is survived by his wife, Teresa Ann Atkins Gwyn; son, James Cecil Gwyn; mother, Ida Mae Gwyn; and a sister, Betty Jean Gwyn. In addition to his father, J.C. was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Gwyn. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at Copeland Baptist Church Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home but anyone is welcome to go by Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy to view the body and sign the register.
