Mr. James William Hudson

Mr. James William Hudson age 87 of 832 Willow Street, Mt. Airy, NC widower of Mrs. Ethel Bottoms Hudson passed away Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. He was born June 11, 1927 in Yadkin County to the late Ambrose Jackson and Mallie Lorene Creed Hudson. He was a retired farmer and had worked at Bassett Furniture. Surviving are a "special friend", Irma Eaton of Mt. Airy, two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ollie Mae Childress and Merky and Sam Edwards all of Cana, VA, two brothers and sisters-in-law, Roscoe and Kay Hudson of Mt. Airy and Ed and Faith Hudson of Cana, VA, several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hudson was preceded in death by four sisters, Emma Hudson, Lorena Smith Thelma Gravely and Mary Ellen Weatherman and three brothers, Jack Hudson, Tommy Hudson and Lonnie Hudson. and his step mother, Savannah Hudson. A graveside service will be held 11:30 am Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Little Vine Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The service will be conducted by Rev. Terry Coe. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody Funeral Service will be assisting the Hudson Family. .
