Mr. James Lowell Reynolds, Sr

Mr. James Lowell Reynolds, Sr., age 77 of Meadows of Dan, was received in Heaven on Monday, October 6, 2014, after a lengthy illness. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Lila Reynolds; his sisters, Zelma and Shirley and brother, Billy. He was a member of Reed Island Springs Baptist Church. He was born and lived in Meadows of Dan, Virginia. He loved his mountains, his church and his family. He was an avid fan of NASCAR and football.
Mr. Reynolds is survived by his wife of 58 years, Geraldine Carmichael Reynolds, a sister, Patsy Allen, five children, James, Jr. (Karen), Judy Lynn (Ron), Robert Lee (Jennifer), Charles Ray (Teresa), Malinda Jane (Rick), as well as 13 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Lonnie Hilton. The family will receive friends Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Light Family Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Cancer Society, c/o Charmaine Atkins, P.O. Box 10, Claudville, Virginia 24076.
