Mr. James Samuel "Sammy" Rorrer

Mr. James Samuel "Sammy" Rorrer, age 65 of Patrick Springs, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on September 20, 1946 to the late Robert Greely and Nancy Cruise Rorrer. He had worked for several years with Cox Auto Parts and more recently in the Inventory Department of Hopkins Lumber.
Mr. Rorrer is survived by one daughter, Angela Denise Rorrer of Patrick Springs; one son and daughter-in-law Jared Dwayne and Candace Rorrer of Pensacola, Florida; one grandchild, Logan Rorrer; one sister, Nora Frances Rorrer of Patrick Springs; one brother and sister-in-law, Bobby and Donna Rorrer of Patrick Springs; and special friends, Leon and Eleanor Handy of Patrick Springs.
Funeral services for Mr. Rorrer will be held Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev. Gerald Melton officiating. Burial will follow in the Bowling-Allen-Cruise Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
