Mt. Airy, NC – James “Jimmy” Lee Snow, 70, passed away March 26, 2017 at his home. Jimmy was born November 24, 1946 in Surry County, NC to the late Jim and Cassie Snow. Jimmy had a tremendous love for his family, and his church family. He enjoyed hunting,fishing and working in his garden. He was employed as a truck driver for Hardy Brothers and as an electrician for Pike Electric in Mt. Airy for many years.

Surviving are his wife of 49 years, Mary Kaye Snow; children, James Keith Snow (Dawn Browe, girlfriend), Michael Kevin Snow, Holli (Allen) S. Hudson; daughter-in-law, Amy (James) Snow-Byrd; grandchildren, Emily (John) S. Castellucci, Kimberly Renee Snow, Jesse James Snow, Destini Storm Hudson, Olivia Grace Snow; great-grandchildren, Aydan Elizabeth Miers, Rylan David Buckholtz, Elena Rose Snow; sisters, Bonnie Haymore, Frances (Dennis) Collins, Eva (Craig) Southern; brother-in-law, Kenneth Martin; sisters-in-law, Debbie Snow, Kathy Snow Despres; several beloved nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, CW3 David W. Snow; brothers Donald Ray Snow, Johnny Snow, Kenny Snow; sister, Betty Martin; brother-in-law, Jack Haymore.

His funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Dobson Church of Christ by the Rev. Ralph Sproles and the Rev. Eddie Bowen. Burial will follow in the New Home Church of Christ Cemetery, The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Moody-Davis Funeral Services in Dobson, NC.
