Mr. James Michael Thompson

Mr. James Michael Thompson of Lexington, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014. Michael was born in Forsyth County on July 31, 1958 to James Edward and Virginia Pedigo Thompson. He was retired from Hanes Brands in Winston-Salem. He graduated from Mt. Airy High School and received his BS degree from Appalachian State University. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Beal Thompson of the home, his mother and step father, Virginia and Albert Cockerham of Mt. Airy two daughters and a sons-in-law, Johns and Jennifer Lovill of Mt. Airy, Jason and Jessica Llewellyn of Elkin, four grandchildren, Kaine, Kamber and Kaebyn Lovill of Mt. Airy and Meredith Llewellyn of Elkin, his mother-in-law, Mary Beal of Lexington, a brother-in-law, Dean Beal of Hillsville, VA, two step brothers and their wives, Mike and Tammy Cockerham of Mt. Airy, and Monte and Danielle Cockerham of Winston-Salem, a uncle, many aunts, cousins and friends. Mike was preceded in death by his father, James Edward Thompson of Mt. Airy and his grandparents, Parson and Jennie Thompson and Joe and Bessie Pedigo of Claudville, VA. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, October 29th at Davidson Funeral Home in Lexington. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
