Mr. Jeffrey A. Goard

Mr. Jeffrey Alan Goard, age 66 of Patrick Springs passed away Friday at his home. He was born in Patrick County on July 7, 1947 to the late Earvin G. Goard and Freda Rutter Goard Davies. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his step father, Bernard Davies. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and had worked in the maintenance department at International Paper.
Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Terry Goard of the home; one son, Steven Jeffrey Goard of Patrick Springs; one grandchild, Stephanie Dayle Goard; step mother, Exie Goard of Patrick Springs; three step children, Susan Beeson of Thomasville, NC, Victoria Owen of Winston-Salem, NC, James T. Bell, Jr. of Martinsville; five step grandchildren; a half sister, Janice Goard Keatley of Patrick Springs; a step brother, Alexander Toufas of Ridgeway; and special friends, Peggy Thompson and Daniel Quesinberry.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastors Mark Wright and Mark Terry officiating. Burial will be private.
