Mr. Jeffrey Allen Parsons

Mr. Jeffrey Allen Parsons, age 52 of Patrick Springs, passed away Monday, February 20, 2017. He was born in Sparta, North Carolina on January 21, 1965, and is preceded in death by his father, Lawrence Isaac Parsons. He was a special husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who enjoyed helping in the community.

Mr. Parsons is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Belcher Parsons of the home; two sons, David Parsons and Katherine Alderman of Bassett and Jeffrey “Garrett” Parsons of the home, a grandson, Ethan David Parsons; his mother, Joyce Bryant Parsons of Bassett; four siblings, Pam Hollandsworth of Patrick Springs, Peggy McMurry and husband, Don of Graysville, Tennessee, Harvey “Doug” Parsons of Walton, Kentucky and Kim Chitwood and husband, John of Martinsville; and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the home at 7267 Abram Penn Hwy. in Patrick Springs with Pastor Tim Satterfield officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service at the home, as well as other times. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Boy Scout Troop 69, c/o Kevin Reynolds, 385 Trents Orchard Road, Patrick Springs, Virginia 24133.
