Mr. Jimmie Harold Davis

Mr. Jimmie Harold Davis, age 77, of Dobson, NC passed away at his home on Wednesday morning May 22, 2013. He was born in Surry Co. on May 20, 1936 to the late Jesse Rufus Davis and the late Sadie Wolfe Davis.
He was the retired owner operator of Jim Davis Accounting in Dobson and a former Mayor of the Town of
Dobson. He was a member of Dobson United Methodist Church, a former Scout Master, and Pony League Coach. Surviving is his loving wife Barbara Comer Davis of the home; three sons and two daughters-in-law Jimmie Harold and Beverly Davis of Hickory, David Gregory and Leigh Davis of Pfafftown, and Timothy Jay Davis of the home; four grandchildren Heather Hutchins, Skyler Davis, Halston Davis, and Fisher Davis; one sister and brother-n-law Lawana and Floyd Murphy of Sparta; one brother Morris Davis of Greenville, SC. In addition to his parents he was preceded by two sisters Virginia Mosley, and Betsy Whitaker. A memorial service will be held Friday evening at 6:30 P.M. May 24, 2013 at the Dobson United Methodist Church with Rev. Harry Sammons conducting. The family will receive friends at the Dobson United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall following the memorial service. The family has requested in lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Dobson United Methodist Church PO Box 497 Dobson, NC 27017 or to the Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care 401, Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Davis Family.
