Mr. Jimmy Albert Stokes "Jr."

Mr. Jimmy Albert Stokes, "Jr.", age 54 of Dobson passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, October 31, 2014. He was born in Yadkin County on May 5, 1960 to the late Jim Albert, Sr. and Sara Mae Scott Stokes. Mr. Stokes was employed by Grandur Cycles as an Automotive Painter and attended Mount Hermon Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of thirty five years, Janice Kay Johnson Stokes, of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jason Lee and Alisha Stokes and Eric Brandon Stokes, all of Dobson; three beloved grandchildren, Rylee Abigale Stokes, Braylynn Sarah Stokes and Anthony Ryan Carpenter; three sisters and a brother-in-law, Debbie Calhoun of Dobson, Cathy and Benny Cockerham of Jonesville and Kim Lunsford of Elkin. His funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Monday, November 3, 2014 in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home by the Rev. Curtis Ponder and the Rev. Barlow Stanley with burial to follow in Mount Hermon Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 pm on Sunday and other times at his home.
