Mr. Jimmy Ben Stovall

Mr. Jimmy Ben Stovall, age 76 of Stuart, passed away April 16, 2015 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born on March 19, 1939 in Patrick County to the late Richard "Dick" Moir Stovall and Ruth Holt Stovall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Nancy Jane Curry; two brothers, Richard "Wimpy" Moir Stovall, Lloyd Thomas Stovall; a great granddaughter, Elizabeth Yates; and a nephew, Barry Curry. Mr. Stovall had served in the U.S. Army and had been a Supervisor with Bassett Furniture.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Frances Martin Stovall of the home; one daughter and son in law, Amy Martin and Benny Sowers of Stuart; two grandchildren, Michael Clifton and, Lisa, Amber Yates and husband, Bobby; and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Jordan, and Benjamin Yates.

A graveside service will be held Saturday, April 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Patrick Memorial Gardens with Pastor Mark Wright officiating. Military Rites will be performed by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice, 18981 Jeb Stuart Hwy., Stuart, VA 24171.
