Mr. Joe Junior Ross

Mr. Joe Junior Ross, age 72, of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016, at Baptist Hospital. He was born in Independence, VA on August 9, 1943. He was a loving father, grandfather and great grandfather who will be dearly missed by his family and friends. Surviving are daughters, Jessica Ross and Jennifer Hooker and husband, Danny; nine grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his first wife, Brenda Bobbitt Ross; his second wife, Frances Ross; a daughter, Sally Ross; a son, Bobby Ross; a great grandchild and a brother, Billy Ross. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Gene Brinkley and Rev. Woody Flippen. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.
