MR. Douglas Mickey Jones
Mr. Douglas Mickey Jones, 52, of State Road passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at his home. He was born in Surry County on March 24, 1965 to the late Charles Wesley Jones, Sr. and Cappie Lee Kingsburry Jones. Mr. Jones was employed at CenturyLink, Inc. He is survived a daughter, DeAnna Owens of Ararat, NC; a son, Adrian Owens of Mt. Airy; grandchildren, Layla Sheets, Bannor McCreary, and Cyrus Owens; many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by sisters, Wanda Lee Cutler, and Marilyn Kay Jones; a brother, Charles Wesley Jones, Jr. A graveside service will be held Monday, July 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Skyline Memory Gardens with family and friends speaking. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 until 10:30 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In Lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Moody Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses. Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
