Mr. Joseph Paul Hutchens, Sr

Mr. Joseph Paul Hutchens, Sr., age 72 of Yadkinville, passed away on Tuesday, September 30, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. He was born in Surry County on June 3, 1942 to the late Esker Howard and Myrtle Hutson Hutchens. He was a retired truck driver for Dobson Trucking. Survivors include a daughter, Brandy White of Yadkinville, a son, Joseph Paul Hutchens, Jr. of Mount Airy; four grandchildren; and a sister, Betty Lou Galyean of Hillsville, Virginia. In addition to his parents four brothers, James Monroe Hutchens, Junior Hutchens, Otis Hutchens and Odell Hutchens; two daughters, Sarah Dawson and Paula Tilley; and two grandchildren preceded him in death. A graveside service will be held at 1 pm on Friday October 3, 2014 in Rockford Baptist Church cemetery by Brother Billy Joe Jenkins and burial to follow. The family will receive friends on Friday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home from 11 am until time to be carried to the cemetery.
