Mr. Kelly Ray Nunn

Mr. Kelly Ray Nunn, age 70 of Mt. Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at Forsyth Medical Center. Mr. Nunn was born in Surry County on December 26, 1944 to Alzry Gammons Nunn and the late Olin Nunn. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. Mr. Nunn worked for thirty seven years with Proctor Silex and later drove a truck for Cooke Trucking. Surviving is his loving wife of fifty years, Becky Hill Nunn; a son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kelly K. Nunn, a daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Kenny Marshall; grandchildren, Mazie Nunn, Mikayla Nunn, Kamron Nunn, Neal Marshall, Teia Marshall and Garrett Marshall and wife Landon; his mother, Alzry Gammons Nunn; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rhonda and Willie Pruitt, Vanise and Michael Bowman and Shirley and Robert George; brothers and sisters-in-law, Saford and Pat Nunn, Roy Elvin and Sharon Nunn, R. D. and Brenda Nunn, Arnold Nunn and special friend, April Corn and Alden Nunn and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father, Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by daughters, Kelly Jeneanne and Vicky L. Nunn; a sister, Mary Jane Tarry and a special nephew, Andy Nunn. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Woodville Baptist Church by Rev. Keith Love, Pastor J. K Faries and his brother Roy Elvin Nunn. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home and at others at the home of his son Kevin Nunn, 260 Bryan Rd. Westfield, NC. Mr. Nunn's body will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state 1 hour before the service. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mount Airy Dialysis Center for the wonderful care and compassion given to Mr. Nunn during his illness.
