Mr. Larry Arlen Jones

Mr. Larry Arlen Jones, 67,of Lambsburg, VA passed away Saturday, May 5, 2012 peacefully at his home surrounded by his family and friends. Larry was born in Bel Air, Maryland on June 12, 1944 to the late, Jessie Jones and Vida Thomas Meredith Jones Baughan. A service to celebrate his life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Hal Finney and Rev. Richard Buffkin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday night from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Larry is survived by his loving wife, Linda Hayes Jones of the home; a daughter, Gretchan Jones Culler of King, NC a son and daughter-in-law, David and Annette Jones of Mt. Airy, NC four granddaughters, Danielle Jones, Miranda Jones, Allison Culler and Elizabeth Culler. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a half brother, Thomas Baughan. The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to the Mountain Valley Hospice staff, family, friends and our church family at Maple Grove United Methodist Church for all their expressions of love and care given during this time.
