Mr. Lawrence G. Hylton

Mr. Lawrence G. Hylton, age 70 of Woolwine, passed away Thursday, November 6, 2014 at Pioneer Community Hospital in Stuart. He was born in Patrick County on September 4, 1944 to the late Fred and Vada "Alma" Belcher Hylton. He was a retired lifetime self-employed logger, and was a beloved husband, daddy, papa, brother, uncle and friend.
Mr. Hylton is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carlene Lawson Hylton of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Lea Ann Hylton of Woolwine, Renee Collins and Kevin of Stuart; one son, Keith Hylton of Woolwine; three grandchildren, Dayna Kendrick, Austin Collins and Melanie Kendrick; two sisters, Shirley H. Rorrer and Vada H. Hopkins, both of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, November 9, 2014 at 6:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Pastor Gerald Melton and Elder David Kamoda officiating. A private burial will be held in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home, and at other times at the home.
