Mr. Levi Warren Poindexter

Mr. Levi Warren Poindexter, 24, of Mt. Airy passed away after a dirt bike accident Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC. He was born in Surry County on May 18, 1993. Mr. Poindexter was a welder for US Duct in Kernersville. He graduated from East Surry High School. He was a loving father and son, and will be dearly missed by all his family and many friends. He is survived by his children Evan Poindexter and Avah Burke; his Mom and Dad, Crystal and Jason Isaacs of Mt. Airy; a sister, Madison Truell of Mt. Airy; his grandmothers, Donna Gail Isaacs of Lowgap, Donna Harrell of Mt. Airy, and Karen Sechrist of Mt. Airy; Aunts and Uncles, Ted and Cathy Hicks of Pickens, SC, Lyle and Adele Smith of Winston Salem; a special loved one Dorothy Burke. Mr. Poindexter was preceded in death by his father Lee Poindexter; grandparents, Robert Isaacs, Warren Harrell and Aunt Karen Caudle. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 3:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert McCrary officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:30 PM until time for the service at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the donor’s choice.
