Mr. Lewis Ray Farris

Mr. Lewis Ray Farris, age 81 of Cana, passed away Saturday, June 04, 2016, at Heritage Hall Nursing Home. Mr. Farris was born in Carroll County on May 30, 1935 to Lewis Gleaves and Mamie Long Farris. Left to cherish his memory is his devoted wife, Sallie Hawks Farris; his children Danny Farris and wife Anita, Dale Easter and wife Wendy, step children, Rodney Edwards, Jeff Edwards and wife Tina and Sandra Edwards; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; a sister, Margie Moseley; a special nephew, David Willard; a special great nephew, Rusty Farris and his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Farris was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Farris and Jim Farris. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 7, 2016 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel by Rev. Brian Pack. Burial will follow in the Easter Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to assist with funeral expenses.
