Mr. Louis Edward Harbour, age 89 of Collinsville, passed away Wednesday, October 3, 2012 at the Stanleytown Health Care Center in Bassett. He was born in Patrick County on January 10, 1923 to the late Murry and Mary Pendleton Harbour. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harbour was preceded in death by his wife, Allene Haden Harbour, and two brothers, Coy Harbour and Wesley Harbour. He served in the United States Air Force during World War II, was a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, attended Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church, and retired from Stanley Furniture after working as a supervisor for 25 years.
Mr. Harbour is survived by two sisters, Annie Adkins of North Carolina, Dorothy DeHart of Woolwine; and one brother, Joseph Harbour of Stuart.
Funeral services for Mr. Harbour will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Elder Donnie Conner and Rev. Ronald Deskins officiating. Burial will follow in Jack's Creek Primitive Baptist Church cemetery with military rites by the Patrick County Veterans Memorial Honor Guard. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
