Mr. Louis Samuel Carrell Thomas

Mr. Louis Samuel Carrell Thomas, 89 of Cana, passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Pioneer Community Hospital of Patrick County in Stuart, VA. Mr. Thomas was born May 26, 1927 in Carroll County, VA to the late Alfred Lee Thomas and Zelma Tobler Thomas. Mr. Thomas gained his angel wings and got to spend his 69th wedding anniversary in heaven with his loving wife. Mr. Thomas was a loving Daddy and Grandpa that will be dearly missed. Mr. Thomas is survived by his daughters and a son-in-law, Judy Pack of Claudville, and Charlotte and Billy Pack of Cana; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and a sister, June Bowman of Ararat, VA. In addition to his parents, Mr. Thomas was preceded in death by his wife, Shrenia Irene Edwards Thomas; his daughter, Peggy Pack; an infant son; a sister, Irene Newman; three brothers, Jessie Thomas, Robert Thomas, and Glen Thomas; and a son-in-law, Gaston Pack. A public graveside service will be held at Flat Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery on Wednesday December 21, 2016 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jerry Keegan officiating. There will be no formal visitation for Mr. Thomas. Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is assisting the Thomas family.
