Mr. Mark Anthony Goard

Mr. Mark Anthony Goard, age 57 of Danville, and formerly of Patrick County, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 at VCU Health System in Richmond. He was born in Patrick County on February 26, 1959, and was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Franklin Goard and Betty Newman Jenkins.

Mr. Goard is survived by his wife, Susan Russell Goard of the home; two sisters, Teresa Barker of Ridgeway and Betty Vance of Fancy Gap; nieces and nephews, Sara Beth Griffin, Anne Russell, Candice Fulcher, Julie Strickland and Kyle Puckett; and his four beloved dogs, Izzy, Lillie, Sasha and Max Goard.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Lewis Family Cemetery with Robbie Vance and Elroy Newman officiating. Online condolences may be sent by visiting www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
