Mr. Marshall Glenn Brooks

Mr. Marshall Glenn Brooks, age 89, of Dobson, NC, passed away on Thursday morning April 19, 2012 at the Northern Hospital of Surry County in Mt. Airy, NC. He was born in Surry County on August 27, 1922 to the late Glenn and Carrie McCann Brooks. He was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church, and was a retired Supervisor at the Poultry Hatchery. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sons Lester Brooks and Jerry Lee Brooks; by two sisters Ollie Mayes and Bethel Blevins. Surviving is his wife of 62 years Lillie Tolbert Brooks of the home. a Daughter Cathy Hodges of Dobson, one son and daughter-in-law Leonard and Vickie Brooks of Mt. Airy; four grandchildren Susan Marsh, William Hinson, Felica Tolbert, Michael Brooks; three great grandchildren Emmie Brooks, Andrew Brooks, Asia Hinson; two brothers Roby Ray Brooks and Roy Brooks both of Dobson. A Memorial service will be held 11:00 A.M. Saturday April 21, 2012 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Brian Pack conducting. The Family will receive friends following the memorial service at the church. There will be no formal services held at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Brooks family.
